The site above has a variety of trails to choose from throughout Michigan. I hope this helps you. I've been in the area of Trail System 41 (Leota) and have seen both there. Hubby tells me it's a nice trail system but I've never ridden there. It's my understanding they are nicely groomed trails.
Let us know how it goes wherever you go.

I just rode the trails in St. Helen yesterday, and I have to say that they were pretty good. Our group consisted of 2-400exs and a 250ex. The main trails are nicely groomed, hardpack covered in a dirt/clay/sand mix. Might not be ideal for two-wheeled riders, but for quads, its perfect. The mains are flat, wide, and for the most part straight, while the secondary trails are where you'll find the whoops and other fun stuff. There are plenty of wooded trails and technical sections to go through as well. If you are up for it, and you can find it, there is a beautiful hill climb area made of mostly sand. Everything from small, low inclines to near 45-degree climbs to around 50-70ft. It was low traffic when we went, but I imagine it gets busy by the looks of the tracks already laid down. St. Helen is about 20 miles north of Gladwyn and about 25 miles south of Houghton Lake. You can see the trails from I-75. If you exit at North 75 exit 222, and make a right at the end of the ramp, you'll be on airport rd. Stay going straight and you'll come into Richfield Twp. You'll make a right at Richfield rd. and stay straight until after it turns to a dirt road. You'll see the parking lot about half a mile after Richfield turns to dirt. Have fun and be safe!

Freakazoid, the answer to your question is yes and no. There are gas stations very close by the trails, but not directly at them. One of the main trails leads right back out to Richfield Rd. which you can ride along the side of the road to the gas stations. They are only about a 1/4 mile down the road. Locals don't mind TOO much so long as you follow traffic laws, keep to the shoulder, and do the speed limit. Enjoy! P.S. If anyone would like to meet up there, a few of us might be making a trip on Saturday May 3rd. We'll be the group of at least 2 400exs. PM me or reply if you are interested.

Yes, Baldwin has great trails. many of them connect, and you can ride directly to the gas station on on your quad.
I ride there for most of the year, since my cottage is about 4 miles from there.
