engine?

why do you need a new crank? what is the whole extent of the damage? if that is really all you need i'd rebuild, but bore it and stroke it so you get your $ worth - it really won't cost much more and your doing the labor anyway.

i only have the top end tore down, the piston is ok, but could be replaced, which i plan on doing, the rod seems to be shot there is a lot of play up and down. i plan on tearing the bottom end down tomorrow so i will know more then. . . but if you could i would like some more info on the big bore and stroker kits...i have not worked on this motor before... do i need new jugs or will stock jug work...etc

carillo rod 88mm of stroke( if I recall correctly), JE piston 103mm, renikasiled and bored stock jug + gaskets about$1200
samcoe 733cc, to say the least I am very pleased with how it is running. Everything is bolt in but piston /head clearance needs to be custom
adjusted and trimmed afterall you are putting a 103mm piston into a 100mm head - it takes a little time and effort to get it right but well worth it in my book.
