Hey guys, I'm planning on gettin a cam and a little high compression piston for my warrior along with the stronger valve springs. I was wonder what would be the best combo but i dont want to wild of a cam incase i over rev i dont wanna slap the piston with the valve. and do you recomend a better head pipe? My warrior's a '99 I hear the head pipes are suppose to be s+++y. Thanks

Heard wrong, the head pipes are awesome on warriors. Its raptors and 400exs with the crappy head pipes. For a piston I sugged 10.25:1, no worries about gas. Cam, get something between .390 and .430. A .450 is the biggest the motor can handle. Four wheel thunder has a nice kit and will port your head too for cheap (not big time race porting, just clean it up). When I had just their piston, cam, and porting package it had bottom end a bit better than stock, nice mid range, wicked upper mid - top, and the power never did feel like it fell off at redline. I have no idea what cam they use though.

Forgot to add, when you send them your head for porting and cam and springs, they put it all in for you. They do nice work but my motor was on hold because of the cam being on back order. Took a pretty long time to get my motor.

Hey Jackal, how's it going?

I got the cam & piston kit from Alba-$430. It has a JE 11:1 piston with a .450 Megacyale cam...comes with titanium springs. I also installed stainless valves and had it ported and polished. I'm really happy with it. It's a little bit stonger on the bottom with most of the power coming on in the midrange. It accelerates quickly once it hits the mid and pulls well to the topend.

It runs well on 93 octane. It outpulls my brothers slightly modded 400ex on the straights. You will need an oil cooler 'cause it will run hotter.

Porting is done by a member of another forum (PM me for info). It's $100 and includes port, polish, 3 angle valve job and your new springs installed.
