I'm going to buy some rims for my P650, the ITP C-Series rims. Now I bought rims for my Arctic Cat last winter and I bought two front and two rear, that was wrong. The two rears were offset alot and ended up busting two axles on my cat. So I want to avoid another massive offset rim. Should I buy four front rims instead of two front and two rear? I'm going to be mounting 26x10x12 outlaws on the front and 26x12x12 outlaws on the rear. Do the C-Series have a little offset? If so how much? I'm going to be buying them today after work probably, so if you can answer my questions today that would be great. Thanks alot.

I'm not sure on the exact offset but I know the front and rear rims are definately different. If memory serves me right, I think they are 7" wide with the fronts offset 3" to the outside and the rears 4" to the outside. I had to buy two fronts and two rears. I think you will need to do the same and the main reason is clearance for the fuel tank. This would be a must if your running 12" rears as you stated. I've had the wheels installed for about 6 months now and haven't had a single problem with them or the tires rubbing anywhere. Hope this helps some.

 

definitely need to buy 2 front and 2 rear due to the clearance issues for the rear. the rears are offset accordingly. imo, i wouldnt deviate from that if i were you. might cause problems with the tires rubbing.

 

This will make my rear wider than the front, I don't want that and I don't think it should be that way. Is your quad with the C-Series rims wider in the rear than the front? Look in my pictures and look at my cat, this is what happened when I bought 2 rear and 2 front. I don't want that to happen again.

The rear of the bike is wider than the front. Not sure how you would change that and why would you want to? I have 2 sets of the C series on the Prairie and one set on the wife's Vinson. They're all sized different front and rear and working out very well.

 

I'll take everyones word for it and buy 2 front and 2 rear then. I just hope I don't end up like my Arctic Cat (look at the pics and you will see.)

 

FWIW, I know several guys who have C series wheels and none of them has had problems due to your concerns. I don't think they would make the wheels like that if they're were problems...and if there were problems they would be all over this board.

I gotta add my two cents since you guys are talking width and spacing

I hate the ITP spacing (for the front) and sold my ITP rims.

I bought douglas rims, and I am 100% satisfied. Not as good looking, but the right spacing. Also, douglass rims fit the tires better, since the front rims are 6" wide and the rear ones are 8" wide. The 7" wide ITP rims front and back cause the front tires to expose the bead a little too much (rims also hit more stuff) and the rear tires the tires are sometimes a little too wide for the rim.

 

nyroc, with all due respect , i dont see the problems you are talking about. my rims seem to have awesome protection by the tires front and rear. way better than the stockers. also the width front and back are almost identical with the rear being slightly wider. i have not so much as even scuffed, let alone scratched my rims and i do some pretty hard riding on some really rocky trails as well as some very heavily wooded trails. so far so good. maybe it was just the tire combo that you used at the time that caused the problems. my mudlites/itp c-series combo do not seem to have the problem you describe.
