removing the tors has nothing to do with power gains. tors i a throttle safety syetems so that if that the throttle sticks that it kills the engine. However some like my self have problems with the tors and have to disconnect it. hope that helps

why can't i just take the little senser out of the tors housing and use it like that. i looked at it today and it does not seem like it would hurt anything to be off. it does not look like it would help either.

The TORS is removed becasue it casuses problems and removing it will make the carburator a more 'fun' thing to do. It makes it look right....

raptor8 is correct, when the TORS is totally removed, you will need to install an idle kit, which involves drilling and tapping a hole for an idle speed screw, then it is just like a regular carb.

I think I'll leave mine alone. drilling and tapping aluminum does not appeal to me. And mine works fine so far.
