18's tires on Raptor/suspension ?'s
#1
Anyone put 18" on the rear, looking at doing it just dont wanna loose too much top end i suppose i could just put a taller front gear on. Trying to get a little lower center of gravity, ride mostly track and some trails. What about wider offset wheels? Will extended a-arms lower my front end or just widen it? thanks for the help

I run 18" Holeshot MX's on my Rappy for the races. I really can't tell you about top-speed, because the track doesn't have long enough straights. With the 19" MX's on the front, the Rappy sets low enough to make it stick in corners. I also have +2 A-arms and this alone won't make the bike set lower, but it does work well with the MX's to make it low and wide for exceptional handling. You might want to think about "zero-preload" shocks. This will set the Rappy right on the ground without losing suspension travel or ride. Very expensive!!!
