Off idle stalling
#1
Hey,
on my '97 Warrior, if i'm idling along and then punch the gas it dies completely. but if i give it a little gas first, and then punch it, it doesn't stall.
i have a 150 main jet. air screw was 1.5 turns out. i tried 1 turn out and lowered the idle, but that didn't change anything.
might be related; if i run it hard and then come to a quick stop and let it idle, the idle remains high. is that a sign of leaness? if so, where at?
thanks,
bigmac

Hey,
yea, i just need to determine which of those is the problem. if i'm just cruising around and tap it at 1/4 throttle it pulls pretty hard. but it's when i hit to 1/2 throttle or more that it dies. but when the rpms get higher, it runs ok.
maybe i'll try adjusting the needle.
also, the spark plug is two different colors. it's split right down the middle, one side is whitish, the other side is black. can aby body explain that one?

Hey,
yea, i think you're right. the air screw didn't really do much for the stalling. so now i'm just working on how to get too the jet needle. gotta figure out how to take out the shaft that goes through the arm that lifts the slider.
