Bombardier is selling Motorsports division
#1
Just a heads up, because most people on these ATV web forums probably don't read the Wall Street Journal.
An article in todays printed edition caught my eye, stating that Bombardier got a contract to do some new Trains and Railroad work in Taipei Taiwan........Bombardier is a big corporate company, heck, they even own Lear Jet Corporation and other subsidiaries and such.
Okay, so what is ATV related?
At the end of the article, they also stated BOMBARDIER IS SELLING OFF THEIR MOTORSPORTS DIVISION, after an offer from an "outside" company was made last month.
This is just a heads up and FYI, and not to start any rumors or bashing of them for going out of business or bankrupt like Cannondale did.
Anyone else catch that news item or can confirm this?
Thought I'd just share what I read in the paper, so don't shoot the messenger!

Wall Street Journal huh?....Well dude, "most people", as you say, on these ATV forums have known about that for a month, so before you get to impressed with yourself about the "Wall Street Journal" maybe you should update yourself and read some of these threads.....

Just finished reading the article on the Bomb web site.
They won't sell to a competitor because such a deal would require approval from the FTC. It takes a year of coart battles to obtaain approval and Bomb doesn't want to wait that long. They have plenty of offers to entertain though, it should sell rather quickly.
No mention of the Bombardier family buying it but I guess if they have the money anything is possable.
I have to agree with you Mudstud

Thanks for the heads up Heapster, but Bomb owners never have their heads down. We have known about this for some time, and as Angry stated, the Bombardier family is buying the motorsports division. I actually can't wait. The motorsports division has been a very profitable portion of bombardier, often supporting parts of the company through their slow periods. I can't wait to see a Bombardier company that is only producing motorsports products.
