If anyone is planning on going to St. A's this summer you had better make reservations right now!! Sand Hills is already totally booked for Memorial and 4th of July weekend. Desert Oasis has only dry camp spots available and he is booking up quick!!! The BLM is doing renovations so there is no Camping allowed overnight, Day use only!

 

How would a person get ahold of desert oasis? I am planning a trip at the end of may beginning of june. will the blm be open yet?

I got two full hookup spaces from thursday to monday of memorial day at sand hill last week and they were the last that they had for big trailer. It is better to go up there on the off weekends anyways you have the whole dunes to yourself. Plus the resort gets pretty crowded and the owners get real grumpy on the big weekends. We are just going on memorial day because we did little saraha last year and it was crazy packed.

 

oh, well thanks alot for taking my space DUDE!!! Yeah , well now I have to camp out over at the Desert Oasis. Well that is ok. because it is only 2000 ft. to the BIG DUNES!!! So I will be up there on Wedensday but more than likely Thursday. So we will have to exchange numbers agian so we can find each other.

 

I am not all that familiar with the dunes since I have only been there once. I think the camp ground I stayed out was the blm. The place right by egin lake with all the trees. Anyways, where is this desert oasis located? Is it on the road right there by the blm?

 

Also, we don't have an rv or anything. We just have a trailer that we haul all of our stuff on and we sleep in a tent. Is that still the place that we would want to stay at?
