Default GRIZZLIE FRONT AXLE

I ASKED A DEALER YESTERDAY ABOUT THE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE BEEN HAVING WITH

THE 660 FRONT AXLE BREAKING AND HE SAID THE PROBLEM WAS RELATED TO WHEN YOU PUT

OVERSIZE TIRE(28INCH) TO THE BIKE. IS THIS TRUE OR IS YAMAHA TRYING TO MAKE EXCUSES

FOR POOR QUALITY IN THEIR AXLES.

simply making excuses!!!
over half of the broken fron axles on the 2003 grizzly's were done with stock tires on them. one man even had the dealer install new ones, then took his into the parking lot( stock tires on) and snapped one right in front of the dealer.
suppositally they have been redone on the newer 2003 bikes though.

Default GRIZZLIE FRONT AXLE

we just went out on the first long ride of the season,my buddy has about 130 miles on his 03 grizz with 27" 589's and the first mud hole we hit, snap goes one side, then two seconds later snap goes the other.ten minutes into riding and the yamy allready has 2 broken cv joints.then after riding in 2 wheel drive most of the day,it starts boiling the fuel & vapor locking.sorry guys I dont mean any harm but we werent too impressed with yamaha this weekend.has anyone had any luck getting the warranty to cover any broken front end parts?
