Default Gearing change with bigger tires

Ok, the guy before me put 22" tires (front and back) on the raptor. I guess he liked top end. Anyway I was thing about going back to stock sizes but these tires are about brand new and I think getting sprockets will be cheaper. I have a 12T front on the way, now what rear sprocket should I put on to make it as close as possible to make it seem like those 22's were 20's? Just basically would like it to seem like its stock, not anymore topend or bottom end. Any help will be greatly apprecaited thanks,

Patrick

that 12 on the front should do it......but if not.........try going up a tooth or 2 on the rear!

Default Gearing change with bigger tires

I ran 12/44 when I put the 22" Holeshots on my Raptor and got back every bit of grunt. I recently tried 13/42 and 13/44 but like 12/44 best with the big (heavy) XCTs. After my engine is back together (Craycraft 686 12:1), I'm going to experiment with 18" Holeshot MX rears and see if I can't find a gearing compromise that will allow me to switch rear tires between trail and track but still pulls hard in the low end. I suspect I'll end up close to stock gearing but the extra HP should make up the lost grunt when running the bigger rear tires.
