Default need help-mojave screened hood

i have seen pics of mojave and lakota witht eh maier screened hood, and some of them have a clamp on aor filter to remove the airbox snorkel pipe, but i need it on there (i ride in a lot of mud) and would like to know how you got it to fit on.
i know lurch and mordr both have this hood (lurch's is on his wife's lakota)
so either of you guys or anyone else replying would be a big help. it doesn't line up real well, and has no place for the middle bolts to go thru.
i wanna make a bell to fit over the intake pipe like the stocker had bolted up underneath the headlight, too, so i don't take mudddy water straight into the airbox. i'm thinking a piece of an old pop bottle or something. any ideas?
thanks,

I cut down my wife's snorkel and created a new shield to keep water from going directly into the snorkel.

Also, I have a green screened hood off of my wif's Mojave is anyone wants it.
