Anyone out there have a big bore kit on an LT250? I have an 87 with all the usual mods and wonder just how much power can be gotten out of one of these. I can keep up with our (mostly stock) Raptor, but I'm looking for some real power. I like the light weight and handling of the LT, but don't want to spend big bucks on it unless there's some substantial power gains possible. How much do ya plan on spending?

 

Well, if I spent $750 on porting and a better pipe, and realized a big gain, I might be happy. If it cost me two grand my wife might kill me but that's still way cheaper than a Banshee or Raptor with the associated mods. So I'm pretty open as long as there is a good power to dollar ratio. I'd like to hit the law of diminishing returns at a sensible place. I can pull big ol' Choke Cherry on it the way it sits--it runs pretty good, but I'm after something pretty lively.

They all can do something for ya it's just you gotta look and pick the one that you think you'll be satisfied with. Ask some guys that have thier engine done and how they like it.
