RAPTOR FINISHING TOUCHES ON JETTING FOR MOD RAPTOR
#1
Just put 11-1 JE, stage 1 hotcam, gytr slip on, pro design-foam, mild port and polish and a 31mm center intake valve (02 gearset also) Now trying to bring it all together a little backfiring on deceleration and runs good with 170-165 mains but just doesnt pull like it should? Around 900 feet above sea level here. Any suggestions on the carb settings for this setup?

For the popping on deccel. turn your mix. screws out a little until it's gone but if you need to go more than 3 1/2 turns up your pilot jets. A little popping is OK.
What air box mods do you have?

Ther just doesnt seem to be much if any difference with all of these mods than before with just the filter and the exhaust. Did I waste money on the cam piston and port job oh yeah the oversixed valve or what?

You should have noticed alot more but you might not have enough porting or your jetting is stilll off I had to go up 5 mains up when doing mine and when I was lean I was losing alot of power on top until I jetted up.

Did you change anything else in the carb other than the mains (pilots, needles etc.) Iam running 170 and 165 mains right now with everything else stock.
