Default Gas in oil

I think I have gas in the oil.... Not good I know. I started it, She would run a couple hundred yards and die LOTS lots of smoke, It took me several restarts to get it back in the yard, I took the oil stick out and it bubbled out like a lil, volcano. I stuck my finger in it and it smells like gas, it was awfully thin and runny for just hot oil, W_T_H??? I was having some carb troubles so I out carb cleaner in it, Ran it around awhile, It sat a couple weeks and I filled it with gas and now this. How would gas get in the oil? Could I be that mistaken?

It's quite possible that a float stuck open in your carb from the gas "ethanol" seems to make that happen and the gas drains down into the engine. I had that happen on and older generator, pulled the dipstick out to check oil level after it had been sitting for a few months and it bubbled out and wreaked of gas, I drained all the fluids and refilled, when I add the ethanol treatment now and make sure the gas is shut off and havent had that problem anymore.............. good luck

Oh Thank you so much ^That makes sence to me and seems like a fairly simple fix. So I need to change the oil and filter, and everything else. Thanks for the helps...
