Both broke at the same time in the same spot.

Gee.....hard to see that there's a manufacturer's flaw there, eh?

 

When the axles broke they also damaged the seals and dug into the differential housing. The splined area is the weak link. I will take pics of the other one I broke also.

 

thats exactly how mine broke. i guess i can expect the other one to break soon enough. have you looked for any automotive equivalents? we'll probly have a hard time matching splines and that IS the weak link. dealer says those joints will be the last thing to break.
