i think it is an outstanding machine but, it has one of those rubberband transmissions. if 500i manual owners are honest, they'll say they bought the ac BECAUSE of the manual tranny. the grizz, p650, and polecat were all available when bought mine, two with irs, all with big bores and lockers. irs, great. locker, great. 650, great. auto tranny, deal-breaker. now, if later on in the year they come up with a manual tranny, oh my.

tricat, true. hang on to those classic ac's. yamaha, um, i'm sure ac has thought about making their own engines but then they realized, why spend millions of dollars developing their own engines when there are plenty of fine engines already available from manufacturers who have been in the business for decades. i am sure ac is happy to pay suzuki and kawi a per unit royalty.

Do you own a Grizzly? I do. Don't have any problems with it either.
If AC would have made a manual shift version of this thing, I wouldn't have a Grizzly for much longer though. Now I'll have to just wait and see how everything plays out, because the AC chassis has to be the best out there for the type of riding I like.
