Tell mom not to worry next time y'all head out. Tell her Sammy Andrews has brought "Bodaciuous" (the bucking bull called the Yellow Whale by Bob Tallman-Bo knows rodeo) and y'all are not riding any ATVs, just headin' out for a little match bullriding. Then, maybe the ATV stuff will look a little more appealing.
Keep us informed on how the recovery is doing and how the AC's are coming along.
Have a good weekend.

TxDoc:
Heck yes I remember that ol' boy. Wonder what the yellow whale is up to these days. Boy, he was one bad bull! Actually, I don't think that story would work all that well. I used to ride bareback quite a bit, and help a couple buddies with their bulls, so mom already knows what those injuries are like.

I've got to work this weekend, and I think Dad's grounded, so we'll have to wait till next weekend. I believe it's Memorial Day, so we're heading up to our property for 3-4 days to do some work. Hopefully we won't get that darn sub. stuck again. My 'Cat pulled her out before, but I really don't want to make a habit of it if you know what I mean. Well, better get to work. Talk to you guys later, hope y'all have a good weekend riding!

Mike

Bodacious is about 45 miles from here at Bogota, TX. They are raising some offspring of his thru a breeding program. They are selling a video of his "greatest hits". There was some talk of bringing him to some PBR events and getting a beer or soft drink company to put up money, like they do in giving away a car for a hole in one, for one man with one chance to ride him. But, it never has happend.

Boy, I wonder how many people would sign up? As I recall, several of the boys who drew him at the NFR a few years back all turned him out to stay in the running, without getting hurt. He's one bad bull! That's cool you get to see him though, maybe something will happen out of it after all. I'm sure his offspring will turn a pretty penny though!

After he broke every bone in Tuff Hedeman's face at the PBR finals, Tuff turned out at the NFR Finals and Scott Breding got on him two nights later, with a baseball catcher's mask, and got jerked down and had the masked broken and sustained a concussion. Sammy retired Bodacious the next day. Everyone agreed that his "learned" habit of throwing his head back on the second jump was gonna kill somebody.
Mom may retire the the CAT if y'all keep getting bucked off-just kidding.

Tex:
Man, you sure have one hell of a good memory! Do you ride, or just follow the standings real close? I'll assume you're a bull rider if you do, or at least used to be. I used to ride bareback, but have gotten too old, and beat up. Actually, a broken back, and a few too many concussions kind of prohibit any further adventures of the sort. I must say it was fun while it lasted, but I sure don't miss the pain of the day after. Well, just got done lifting, better get some food now. Need that protein, ya know!
