Extended Warranties
#1
My 6-month warranty is up at the end of the month and was thinking about getting an extended warranty. I haven't talked to the dealer yet, I thought I would get some opinions first. What does Arctic Cat offer for an extended warranty, is it 2 years? How much did you have to pay? I haven't had any trouble with mine except for an idle adjustment, but the warranty would be some extra "peace of mind." Any info/opinions would be appreciated.

Well, I am glade I got the 2 year warranty with my Cat. First the water pump seal went out and now the power to the rear wheels is gone. So I would recomend it JUST INCASE.
I bringing my cat in tomorrow for the rear end but the mechanic said that he is beting that it will be covered underwarranty. All I saying is that if it's not underwarranty it WILL BE by the time I am finished talking with a few people.

Tcat:
Peace of mind is exactly what the extended warranty is all about. To be honest with you though, I think it's an additional 18 month warranty, which added to the standard 6 month translates to the 2 year warranty. I think my dealer is charging somewhere between $350-$400 for the extended warranty, and in Boner's case, it sounds like it was money well spent. I've got a couple months left before mine runs out, then I'll probably end up going down and buying the extended as well. Insurance is basically what it's all about.
Boner:
Good luck with your 'Cat. I hope that dealer of yours is good about it, and covers it under warranty like he should. Hopefully they'll get it fixed for ya real quick like so you can get out riding again.

I'm also considering getting the extended warranty. My '00 auto is in the shop right now. I've got a howling bearing inside the belt cover and a little oil weeping out below the jug. They have to tear down the whole upper engine to repair it!

Supposed to get my machine back today. They promised me I can pick it up before they close today at 2pm. They know I'm not real happy with thier service and said they (Jim)may bring it to the house for me. We've got a ride planned for tomorrow (Sunday) in Starksboro, probably be 8-10 machines. Can you make it?
