Went out to watch some sled pulls. Never seen it before. All stock bikes. (nothing like what shotgun drives) In the 501cc+ class. No question on this day (and im sure others) that polaris wins hands down. the 700sp ruled. Followed by traxter, (if quest 650 was there im sure it would have pulled hard) kvf650, AC500i. A grizz 660 and a grizz 600 were turned away... hehe they had added weight and uhh got caught lol.

The rally route wasnt fun. Pole line driving here is hard going. Just a couple pics from that route.

Drag races, were on... just 400exs and a modded grizz with no racks. As we were leaving a couple done up raptors arrived and a banshee. (missed that)

They had a couple mud bogs, they wouldnt let me get close enough for good pics, so i only took a couple. Zoom and no tripod are bad pics.

But was a fun day... will get the pics up here later this eve when the family calms down. But heres one i know yall will like.

Hey I was there too! I was talking to the guy with the yellow sp700 (in the rally) and it had a Dalton industries clutch kit, pipe, and i think a jet/filter kit. There was a Quest in the pulls (he did the mud bog first, so you couldn't really tell what color it was)

BTW that rally sucked, 17KM! So we did it twice, the second time through we sat at the mud hole (the only one in the rally) and a drunk guy put it in a hole right up over everything, than a girl jumped in (over her waist) and they started mud wrestling!, shoulda had a camera!
We towed quite a few out than left.

Once the cat's get there with the 650 V twin i think they'll do very good.

Also at the end of the rally there was a sp700 and a red Rincon racing up the hill at the field, the Rincon took it by about a bike length.
but down the hill the sp700 won, so i'd say they're pretty close in power/speed.

 

Heya wish i hadda know you were tjhere., woulda said hi! Ya i didnt notice the quest. Yu might have seen me trying to get close to take pics... they wouildnt let me. Personally ive been around atvans for a bit now, and they suck when it comes to stuff like this.

All right, sorry here are the pics. The KVF650 is the smoothest sounding machine i have ever heard. After seeing all those bikes all in one place it would be hard to pick a new one. The SP700 seems very powerfull and pulls real well. So after seeing the KVF and the new cat will have that engine, i wouldnt worry about it being an auto to much.

Ya hard to miss the loudest ole cat around! I know, i had no idea on the weight or anything. Im going to post to there site now. That link goes right to two albums, July 10 and 26. Whats the error? Any one else getting it? Oh and do you drive there from truro to tata on the bikes?

 

Cool pics voodoo. Yah the Kawi is smooth. How many times a year do you have rallys down there? I have never heard of sled pulls or mud runs down here in Manitoba, though I do not attend any rallys because I live so damn far away.
