Default gas mileage

i was just wondering what kind of mileage you get with your quad.i've ridden 70 miles at one time and never had to use reserve. my cat is a 500i manual. my cat dealer said it should be good for about 90 miles with the reserve.i would like to know if this is what you guys get with your quads.

Mudblaster, my riding buddies and I were were wonderign the same thing. I ride a 2002 300 4x4 on a 50 mile ride or so of what I would call average terrain the results were.... My 2002 300 4x4 was about 35mpg, my uncles 2002 500i 4x4 (manual) was a little less than 30mpg, and my buddies 2001 4x4 (auto) was just under 25mpg. Of course there are issues her like riding style, elevation, bike setup, terrain, load(including rider), tires, etc... but basically my results showed me and my riding buddies that my 300 was of course best on mpg, the 500i wasnt so bad, and that the auto ate a little mpg. Anywho these were our results, and like I said they are certain to change with the variables I listed. Hope this helps mudblaster.

Depends on my riding... (and of course its a 98) Before the pipe and tires id get close to 100m on one tank. According to the trip meter anyhow. With the gators and FMF more like 70 now.

My 500i did fairly well on fuel. I think I got about 80 km/s to a tank hard riding with no reserve. You need to remember the i models have a 4.7 gallon tank that includes reserve. So if we are going say 50 miles on 3.7 gallons of fuel then the extra 1 gallon should take you another 13 miles. Thats fairly good for reserve.
