I have not had any snow yet but my mudlites are awesome. Climbing huge fencelines and playing in the mud I have no complaints. They are priced great, and on the trail they feel like the stock dunlops!

I'll throw in a second for MudLites... I haven't tried them in snow yet either, but on the trail, over rocky terrain, and through the mud they are very good.

Are they heavier or lighter or what?

The 589's look a lot like MudLites but they are quite a bit heavier than the MudLites. I have never used a set of 589's, I have only seen them at the dealer.

Check out www.itptires.com for info on MudLites. The MudLite page also includes weight comparison with other tires.
