hire good mechanics! make sure that you have enough to handle the workload!! i loved my dealership until i had a problem with mine, now i won't even buy oil from them, the sad thing is that I live across the street from them!

i was going to say the same thing.
mines in the dealer now going on three weeks.
they never even looked at it for the first week.
then when i call he says your next after a winch where installing.
anyways i go to the drag races this weekend about 4 hours away.
and as i come into this town i pull into the local harley/arctic cat dealer and ask them if they do warrenty work on cats that were not bought there.
they said that if it was under warrenty no problum.
so i tell him whats up with my cat.
and guess what they got the parts in stock and they said if i had called befor hand they would have had me drop it off and they would have had it fixed in a few hours.
so this morning i call to see whats going on with my cat and he told me that the parts are stuck in transit some where because of the power outage in the states.
so i tell him thet the next town has those parts in stock.
and he tells me that he thought the other guy would have checked there befor he orderd the parts from the factory.
then he tells me to call him back in fifteen minuts and he'll see if he can locate where they are so far.
i told him im off wensday and ill be coming into see them.

Anyways back to the subject.
dont forget when your selling a WARRENTY this service is already payed for.
and we do not want to be put on the back burner because someone else wants to buy a new quad with a winch.
just because its warrenty work and not money up front if you dont treat your customers right they wont come back .
and pretty soon nobody will buy from you and then you have no buisnes.
its like luvthemed said i wont even buy oil from them now.
oh well its there loss.

One other thing is when people make big purchases they expect the little perks. Like purchase a quad and get 50% off a helmet or throw in some riding gloves or discounts on accessories. The machines they do not make too much money on. It is the accessories they make a killing on. So it is ok to "throw in" something. They will come back to you if you do that. My dealer did not do that and I will never purchase anything again form them. They suck.

Having stock is another big thing. You are a dealer. You should have most of the parts needed. i.e. cv boots, brakes etc..NO ONE wants to wait for parts ever. If you sell the machine you should sell the parts too. Cash and carry. I hate to wait for "consumables". There is no excuse for it.

I can't stress to you how valuable customer service is. From the moment you walk in the door, whoever it is should be treated with GOLD. That will bring you back repeat customers.

Good luck
