Between the AC and the Eiger I'd probably pick the Eiger because it's lighter and the AC has a Suzuki motor anyway. The only thing better about the AC is the suspension and extra clearance. So it depends on how you will use it. The AC 400 I looked at recently has a 4x4 handle that reminds me of a Toyota truck brake. Located down below knee level on the left side. The Eiger has a lever switch on the bars. When I was pricing I got one price for a 2004 semi-auto Eiger for around $4900. Out the door. Just see who offers the best warranty service and best deal.

Well, I have ridden both of these machines and bought 3 arctic cats this year. first was a 01 300 4x2 for my wife, then a 03 400i auto 4x4 for myself. after 250 miles I test rode a manual and liked it better so I bought a 03' 400i 4x4 manual and love it. I only have 85 miles on it so far and ride a mile or two every other day.
both the suzuki and cat are great bikes and I must tell you having 2 cats with different suspension heights and travel that ground clearence is not everything, however abilities to go places is.
The front end of the suzuki over hangs the centerline of the wheels by a considerable amount. this can greatly hamper your ability in crossing deep ditches and ruts and short sttp hills and logs and such.
And with the cat it is alot taller and tips a bit easier. But it can haul more weight on it's racks, and tow more behind it. It also handles better and rides smoother and also is better for technical crawling and climbing.
I certainly prefer the manual over the auto in any situation. better gas mileage, lower noise, more power and no belts to slip, and no tranny to snorkel if you do alot of mudding.

honestly, i'd go with the arctic cat, it has better suspension and a better ride, but if you want to go with something with a little more top end go for the suzuki. yeah they both have the same engines but they have different carberators, the arctic cats is a little smaller to help with fuel economy and low end power
