thinking about purchasing a new winch I want to know what is your preferred choice between a Ramsey 2500 and Warn 2500 which is better and why. A ramsey 2500 I found for 299.95 and a warn 2500 I found for 399.95.

 

my philosophy in life is: you get what you pay for!! Plan on picking up a warn 2500 in the next couple weeks! All my buddys love there warn winches!!

 

I would recommend the ramsey superwinch 2000lb from cabelas.. for $199 it is a good deal and your atv will work well with it.. it has 50 ft cable and with some rope and a ****** block it will do anything.

 

If you know you're not going to be too agressive on the winch, I'd stick with the Warn. Maybe go for the 3000 Series. But any of the Warns; 2000 to 3000, will do a good job. Any winch you purchase will someday need service. There are plenty of Warn parts available on line and at the local dealer. I can not speak for the Ramsey Winch because I have never worked on them. The Warn's have many interchangable parts. I can rebuild a Warn Winch, from parts I receive from other friends I ride with due to the fact that there are so many of them out there. If you don't know how to rebuild your Warn Winch, there's plenty of info on line. My 2500 Warn, gets lots of use on the trails. Good luck.

Look on eBay, you can get a Warn 2.5ci for A LOT less than 400 bucks.

 

Look on onlyatv.com they have the Warn #3000 for $360 shipped ... The #2500 is cheaper then that ..Bill
