03' vs 04' axles
i just had a new axel put in mine and i thought it was beefer because its thicker at both ends.
but when i mesured, it was the same thickness at the ends and thinner in the middle.
so im not sure what i got for an axel.
but my dealer said was a new replacement axel.

The 04 axles have a smaller axle bar than the 03s. The problem was not the size of the axle but the method used to heat treat the axle for strength. The 04 axles are stronger and will accept a little more angle but still can not handle a lift kit.
If you want to run a lift kit, the only real answer is still Gorillas.

Cat500i- I let a friend have the wheels to mount his stock tires on. I still have the bumper. I need to borrow a camera to get some pics, My camera crapped out on me and I am too cheap to go buy a new one.
Take a look at Maximus bike, they look very much alike. <a href="http://photos.yahoo.com/bigrych9" target="_blank><FONT" color="#ff0033>http://photos.yahoo.com/bigrych9</FONT></A">Look in the first Arctic Cat folder, there are some pics next to a Polaris with 28s.
