Default For those thinking of a new 650!

I saw where someone asked about a Naber module. I have an 03 650 prairie. The modules, there are several produced, are used to trick the cdi. Since the 650 shared the same engine, the modules will most likely work on the ACs. Diamond G racing offers what I would consider the best module, it is called the holeshot. I gives full timing advance to a certain RPM then returns to stock. These engines are neutered from the factory with alot of timing retard! Diamond G has been working on, and should be about to release another module called the unlimiter which keeps full timing advance to the rev limiter.

This along with the holeshot will greatly improve acceleration. Top speed should be over 70 mph fairly easy with both. With just the holeshot, if I start from a standstill it will stand straight up, and that is with 28" tires. For anyone interested in more info, check the Kawasaki forum.

Im guessing they are regulated..otherwise the rod or piston would go. Do you know what the specs are as far as degree of advance?

thanks

I can't recall the exact numbers. However, I believe stock the timing retards somewhere around 28 degrees! It is substantial. My reason for starting this thread is to provide info that the 650 cat will have alot of potential for hop ups, since it has the prairie motor. There are also quite a few clutch springs to choose from. I am currently waiting on the unlimiter module for my 03 prairie. If it makes the difference the holeshot module does then it will be awesome for a utility. You should be able to outrun the likes of a 400ex!
