Default Cancat- A question for you

How does your 250 2x4 do plowing snow? I'm thinking of getting a plow for my 1999 Arctic Cat 250 2x4 and was wondering if it's worth the money. How much snow can you push? Do you use tire chains or not?

Default Cancat- A question for you

I enjoy plowing with my 250 2X4. Lets face it, if a 12 horse John Deere can push canadian snow a fourwheeler can do twice the job. I can push in First gear high range or if it gets heavy low range second or third gear. I can make banks 5 feet high, and I can clear out my fairly large lane way really quick...way faster than my snow blower. The first pass is the hardest, but once I have done one pass you can take as much or as little as the bike can manage easily. If the snow is real sticky or the base underneath is slippery I put my tire chains on, but I only had to put them on once last year, I don't like using my chains unless I have to, they are hard on your rubber.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply, it was very helpful. I decided to get a plow. I think it will be well spent money.
