Default sparkplug on 454

can anyone tell me where the sparkplug on a 1998 454 is? thanks in advance

When you are sitting on the machine, the plug is on the left side, at the top of the engine. Remove the side plastic that runs between the front and rear fender. You can see where the plug wire connects to the top of the engine, but the plug is recessed. You have to pull the plug wire before the plug can be seen.

I think it uses the NGK CR8E plug, but a CR6E works better for it.

Use CR6E, Other plug fouls too easy, CR6E is recommended, Also change to foam filter instead of paper one if you have not already.

Original filter was paper with foam pre-filter wrapped around it. A foam filter is available. Does away with paper filter. Paper worked good but we found harder to get cleaned. would cause plugs to foul easier.
