Do you know what your final drive ratio is on your 500 Auto?

I believe both front/rear is 3.6(36/10) and that is the same for the 2000 400 also.

Thanks Fango!! I changed my front diff to a selectible but due to different gears I am running smaller tires in the front. So I am just trying to get gearing for all the A/C's together.

LOL, Sorry, it kept saying ERROR, so I kept posting.

There is nothing like being able to lock and unlock your front diff. How did you end up doing the front axles? You can run the same size tires and adjust the air pressure until the gearing feels right. I am going back to the 3.60 gears in the back when i get my Gorillas back in from the axle damage over the weekend.

Default HEY Fango!!

I was having the same ERROR message also.

The way my quad is now is the way A/C should have done them in the first place!

We had a little mishap with the left axle at the machine shop so they purchased a new axle for me. Also ended up making my own shifter. Just took a coat hanger and made a pattern and then followed it with 1/4" rod stock. Works great.

The reason I was asking fango about ratio's is if you look at the front diff for the 00 and 01 auto's (in the parts list anyway), the ring gear looks the same as the locking diff. So if it is 3.6 ratio.....why not replace and have the ratio the same front and back.

Buy the way, THANKS for the help you gave me for this project!!

That is a good question. The ratio on the old Cat and Quad Runner 500 diffs are 3.6, but will the ring and pinion fit on the KQ. The only way to be sure is to bust them both open and compare the 2. I know where I can get my hands on one, I will do some research.
