on the 300 I had it was that the cap didnt let in air so i cut just a hair of material out of the groove in the cap and it worked great after that.

i think some air has to be able to get in but not much to work right

 

You DON'T want air in a hydraulic brake system. Air compresses, brake fluid does not. I talked to my dealer again today. I am dropping it off monday for service.

 

There was a service bulliten out on drilling a very tiny hole in the top of master cylinder cover to let air in to and out of air side of diaphram,(black metal M/C). Diaphram would squeeze up into bleed slot on side of cover and cause air lock and spongy brakes.

 

that hole is exactly what i was talking about

the pressure is from the plunger in the bottom of the master cylinder to the brake cylinder not on top of the fluid.

 

HEY MOMMA i've got the same problem i call them part time brakes they only work when they want to i'm still getting the runn around from the dealer guess someone has to get killed before they send out a recall its more common then you think ive had this problem on my 2002 and 2003 guess i goto go to the top and complain let you know what happens![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]
