SUZUKI QUADMASTER vs. AC500 AUTO??
#2
Of course the cat guess both machines are good ones I bought my cat for the following reasons: Can be put in and out of 4wd, to smaller seat on suzuki for riding 2 also is shorter in length which could cause trouble climbing steep angles, automatic transmission, better looking bike all the way around, has disc brakes instead of drum, comes with better stock tires, more suspension travel, more rack capacity. The cat did weigh more than the suzuki but if this extra weight if more to the front of the cat which I think it is could help with the front end staying down on steep climbs wasn't much more weight anyway though so what do you like over the Cat.

The Suzuki gets the edge in all steering categories. Thats about it. It is a great machine though. If I'm right, Arctic Cat made the original 454 engine, then Suzuki took that and bored it to the 493cc that is used now. The 300 and 250 engines are all straight suzuki and I have no idea where the 400 came from.

Andy,
The 454 was made by Suzuki also. They just decided to take that motor, improve it, and make a quad for them selves.

Where did you find this evidence? I haven't seen it printed anywhere yet. Don't say the local mechanic either because my local mechanic said not to buy a Fram filter or you will reduce engine life. Take what a mechanic says with a grain of salt, because they are not alway right.

Andy, who are you talking to? If you were talking to me I found out that when Dirt wheels did there first test on the LTF 500. They talked about how all the Suzuki dealerships were made that Suzuki made a bigger 454 cc motor for a competetor(spelling) and they were stuck with a 282cc(I think) motor.
