Default valve adjustment

I have a 2000, 500 auto and I read alot about valve adjustment should be part of regular maintenance. Anybody know if this is tough to do by yourself or should I let it up to the dealer. My problem is that the dealer is far away. Any info would be appreciated.

Default valve adjustment

I have been an Arctic Cat, Suzuki,Bomb dealer for 7 years. Less than 10 percent of all atv and motorcycle engines
ever really need the valves adjusted. I see machines with 5k miles on them that the valves are within spec and have never been touched. Get em checkd but unless your machine doesnt start (ie tight valves) you are just doing it for piece of mind. Hope that helps.

no its really not hard to adjust your valves. my neighbor showed me 2 times and i figured it out after that. just ask someone body you know if they know anything about adjusting valves and aee if they will show you how. i adjust my valves about every 500 miles. or well at least check them.
