Default SIEZED GAS GAUGE ON 2003

I have a 2003 500 with a siezed gas gauge and it looks like theres some liquid in the guage itself dont know if its gas or water any one with this problem? any input would be much appreciated before i go yell at the dealer![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

mine seized once on me. I hit the side if the tank a couple times (pretty hard) right by the gauge and it hasn't done it again

Thats what i tried, everytime i hit it it moves a little but it doesn't free it self. did you have any fluid in the guage itself mine does and it seems like that is the culprit but i don't know wether i should take the tank off and try and fix it or spend the bucks and have the dealer do it.

Default SIEZED GAS GAUGE ON 2003

Don't pull the tank, gauge pops out real easy. Only held in by a grommet. Early gauges had some problems, later ones have been improved.
