Now it's a LE 650 100% sure

Mine & my buddies long wait is coming to a close on 12/12. We are finally getting our Cat 650s after waiting for 3 months but not thru the Dealer that we thought we were getting them. After delay after delay, this date, that date & still the Cat 650s never showed up & with the Cat promotions coming to a close at the end of this year, my buddy & I manage to get 2 650s at a local Cat Dealership & at some decent prices that we both can live with. The best part is this Local Dealer has both the LE & MRP 650s in stock & with our names on them.
The other Dealer had us down & waiting for months on 2 plain-jane Cat 650s, then we were told we were getting the MRP models instead, then about 3 weeks later, we were told we were back at getting the plain-jane 650s but this Dealer still had no-idea has to when we were to get our 650s. Enough of this!
I'll be more than happy with the LE 650 for myself, as I plan to remove the ugly LE rear bumper, add aluminum wheels, add a rear MRP rack for my MRP goodies I bought when we were told from the other Dealer that we were getting the MRP 650s.
I will keep the GY Radials/chrome wheels & give these Radial tires/wheels a good work out but for my Summer ATVenture vacations, I'll be switching over to the aluminum wheels & the dependable Goodyear 26" Mudrunners.

Congrats on your new machines! Can't wait to hear about your first impressions. I'm getting prepared to take mine on a big trip down to Windrock in Tennessee. When I'm not riding it, I'm thinking about riding it.

I now have it, really missed that VTwin 4wheeler motor as I sold my P650 many many months ago.
1st impressions:
This Cat 650 even though it is using the Kawasaki Transmission is very quite compared to the Prairie 650s I had.
Acceleration is great, no complaints here.
According to the MSO, the LE comes in at 675 lbs dry.
My P650 was 604 lbs + the warn winch/roller fairlead/mount, bought it up to 644 lbs dry.
I already removed the Ugly rear Bumper, that alone shaved off 8 lbs, so now my LE 650 is at 667 lbs dry.
I agree with some on the soft sidewall tires, just playing around with my LE in a empty home lot, I noticed the Radial tires were rolling up on the side of the rim. I now have the tires air up to 6.5 lbs each, hopefully that will fix the rolling from happening.
No problem with adjusting to the higher seat, even though at times I feel like I am throwing my leg over a horse to mount this Cat.
This Cat 650 starts so much better on the cold mornings, this morning it was 15, started with ease, was able to take the choke down to the half-way point in minutes. Then it just sat there & had a steady idle with No choke at all, something I could never do with the Prairie 650.
Frt springs are on #3 position, will move them up to #4 on the next ride. The Rears are also on #3 but seem to be just right for now, with the 8 lb rear bumper off, the #3 position on the rear may work out OK.
Biggest complaint is the single lever braking, got use to having twin brake levers on the Prairie 650s I had, now I have to readjust & stop reaching for the front brake lever on the right handlebar. Didn't really use the hand brake levers that much on the P650s because of the excellent engine braking that this Kawie trans provides, I just got use to having the brake levers.

have a question for you, you said that your 650 ran great in 15 degree weather have you ridden it in below zero weather yet? i just put gas in mine and the next day the temp.went way down and it would not start, so i put it in a warm place and put some dry gas in it it started up nice but the next day i went to start it outside and it would not start. have you or anyone else had this problem? please let me know i am going to try and sciphen out the gas that is in it now and try some super in it.

Bigern;
My LE 650 was sitting overnite in the back of my truck with just a 4wheeler cover over it. It started just fine, am using 88 octane as 87 is not available here.
Once I put in the DG Holeshot, I'll be using 91+, as reqiured.
