HI my friend just bought a brand new 650 LE he rode it for about 20 miles and noticed oil leaking from the motor the dealer told him it's nothing that they must have forgot to put lock tight on one of the bolts, we think this is B.S. cause you can clearly see it's coming out of the gasket. Now my buddie thinks he's stuck with a lemon. JUST WONDERING IF THIS HAPPENNED TO ANYONE ELSE?

 

I agree with BartlettRacing, take a picture FIRST then take it to the dealer. if you get no where there, report him to Artic Cat . Failing that... offer your friend $2000 for the lemon and hide the grin on your face as you walk away LOL.. Theres a possibility that the head was warped before it was installed and hence the gasket cant seal the seam properly but if I had to hazard a guess I'd bet its just a loose bolt/nut.

 

More likely the bolt was over tightened. (hint-been there). I bet the washer on the bolt is pulled up into the oil pan, sort of TP shaped, like the bolt was over tightened.
