[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] The DVX and Zook are close enough that all the goodies I'm installing on mine are Yosh's Z400 stuff - pipe, carb/intake mods, cams. Just fired it off last night and it sounds healthy enough. Just sat doen here to check emails and such before heading to the woods to check it out. The Cat was impressive out of the box, it should be near a threat now!

 

So your pipe and silencer for a Z400 just bolted right up to the DVX? I've heard that there might be minor differences in some of the mounting bolt positions/lengths of pipe...?

 

ok here...pick the quad you think looks nicest, no other way to decide, i like the kfx's look..it dont matter which quad you get, you can mod any of them with the exact same parts, there ya go.

If I remember right, the DVX has removable front fenders and different plastic all around. Other than that, Z400 Clone.

 

The dvx has removable front and rear fenders. The seat and the headlight are also different than the z and kfx. It also has different heel guards because of the fenders design other than that it still a z.

 

The other minor thing is that the reverse switch moves from the right front fender-y sort of location on the Z400 to being on the bottom right of the tank area on the DVX, iirc.

 

The difference between the DVX and the KFX400/Z400, atleast here in Minnesota, is that you can buy the Kawasaki or Suzuki and your local motorcycle dealer. You have to go to Gander Mountain to buy a DVX. When I think of Gander Mountain I think of shotguns and fishing rods, not ATV's.

Arctic Cat has taken the basic design and engine from Suzuki's Z400. They changed the plastic, which doesnt keep the rider clean all that good. The plastic has detachale fenders, so if you want to look like ur a racer, u dont have to sacrafice a fender by cutting it off. Another difference is the headlight design. The seat is another change. The suspension on the DVX400 is better than 03 Z400s since Suzuki supplied Arctic Cat with their newer 2004 Z400 shocks. Everything else is the same. If you took off all the plastic and seat, you wouldnt know if it was a DVX400, Z400, or a KFX400. Changes: Plastic, Headlight, Seat, Newer Suspension from 03 Z400's
