Default Oil Help!

Please tell me how to check my oil on a 400 manual 2003. Do I screw the dipstick in or no? Engine cold or hot. Step by step plaese. Different people and different manuals say different things. My original manual says to look in the window but I don't have a window. Plaese help I don't know what to do. Thanks.

Default Oil Help!

I'm goin w/screw it in. But here again, this is why I wish AC had a customer service line. Your dealer says don't mine say do. Cat tells me to consult a dealer, but the dealers don't neccesarily know anything. There is a right answer and the folks at Arctic Cat should know it if only we could talk to them!

Default Oil Help!

Operators manual says NOTE: The oil level stick should not be threaded in for checking purposes. It should be above the L mark but not higher than the F mark. Probbably better cold then all of the oil will be in the pan.
