I was wondering, will the belts and clutches last without problems like the Yam belts. I was told by a few people and dealers that it is normal to get 10.000 K'ms on a belt with no problems. I am looking for a secod machine and might go with a Grizzly if the AC can't. The 500 AC's can as they use the suzuki set up which is the same as the Yamaha, which are always engaged.

Has anyone had problems yet, or have the old Kawi's had problems.

For the 650 you might want to ask in the Kawi forum, the ac650 uses the same trans. The belt on the ac is not always engaged, it is always under tension though. There is a sprag clutch that disengages it from the flywheel at idle and a one way roller clutch that doesn't let the primary clutch spin faster than the flywheel and this provides the engine braking. I belive the yamaha is very simialar in design, the kawi isn't though.
