did you fix your problem?? what did you all have to do

 

well mine is still making the noise. it sounds like it has something to do with the drivetrain. i am going to lower the front of my bike some to reduce the angle on the cvs to see if this helps. it sounds like a poping sound that a cv would make. it realy does it when i am turning the bike and on it. i will try this and see if the noise goes away

Did you ever find out what was wrong?? I thought it was a bad clutch basket. Did you determine this was not the case??

300 miles its hardly broken in.
mine dident start to loosen up untill around 300 miles.
i got two thousand miles on my 03 500 manual and it makes all kinds of noise i just dont listen to it any more, because i thought the same thing for the first little while but it never got any worse.
and it still runs great and pulls good so unless its a new noise i dont worry about it.
have you changed your oil yet maybe try that and see how it sounds then.
mine always sounds better after an oil change.
i change mine every 300 miles.
or as close to that as i can.

 

well i had an buddy come over that works on atvs and he said that was nothing wrong with it. i had the tires off the bike and up on jackstands while i was running it. when it makes the noise is when you let it roll to a dead stop and give it some gas and then let off the gas. he said its just the gears inside the motor and nothing at all to worry about. so its all good

 

i have a 03 400i and mine makes that same knocking sound also.i was just trying to figure out what it was

 

hey maximus i had that same thing happen with my suzuki did you check your front CV joints for low grease. my suzuki make a poping kind of noise when you let off and slow down. i thought something was wrong with my 4 wheeler because you could feel it in the handle bars so i tore it down and there wasnt any grease in the CV boot.

 

the popping noise is the rear hub the bearing is losing and popping bulletin for arctic cat need to remove
rear outter hub assembly and press the bearing out and apply brown lock tight on bearing and repress bearing
back in. need to find witch side noise is coming from noise start about 1500 to 2000 miles on atv
cam find out if hub is making noise by pulling out on rear tire and pushing in if bearing is losing will hearing
poping noise and feeling in the rim
