I'm starting to look for a 300 4x4 and about a 1995 for around $3000-$3500.
Those honda engines run great don't they???...I have an 87 200 trx, the engine hasn't been touched yet and still runs great, but yes i've had to replce new parts on it but nothing to do with the engine.

haha.....i had a 300 4x4 (1990) after my 200sx!....1993 on models had a improved frame in them, new style rims, different cam and, they never went the same as the 88 to 92 models!.....they were good old bikes!
300 4x4 is a good solid machine (we have two of those at home too)

the suz and the AC are two very very different quads!....personal preferance would be the AC, cause its a new design, better designed bike, lighter, easier to work on.....are they the same engine?....not a slieved down 300? how similar is the AC250 frame to the AC300 and AC454 frame?

We think we are going to get a 300 4x4 in the fall
(used) I heard they are great little 4x4's
but they only have the differential that slips at the front right? but I can always get lockers.

 

The 250 & 300 4X4 A/C already has diff lock.

 

the honda fourtrax 300 4x4 is a full time limited slip 4wd!it has no diff.lock.

 

A/C'S HAS NO DIFF.LOCK,but u can have it insted of the 2wd position.

Actually the 250 is full-time 4wd, and I believe it has the same diff as a the 400 4wd which has no diff lock feature.

 

Yes I correct myself it looks like the new 250 4X4 has no 3 range trans, which would mean no diff lock option available.
