Suzuki has had the Quadrunner 250 4x4 out for years. My dad owns one. I would buy it over the Cat in a second.

Yea they would be kind of the same in some ways because Suzuki makes Arctic-cat right?

This is probaly a dumb question, but here goes. What is the difference between the Suzukies & Arctic Cats. I know that Suzuki provides engines to AC.

Their is alot of differences between 'zuki and A-C
Just the engines on the A-C's are from suzuki like you said.

It is kind of like boats..... you can have a 60hp Mariner motor on a Lund, Alumacraft etc.. the motors are the same but the similarities pretty much stop there.

I don't know about the 250 but the other Artic Cats have more suspension travel than the Suzuki. However, I have work on alot more Artic Cats on the trail. I have used several beer tabs to jump fan relays.

I would be swayed towards the Suzuki because of the differential lock (which can be rigged up on the AC as well though not stock), but that wouldn't be enough to keep me from utterly deciding on the AC. Better looking, better suspension, Stronger racks, full floorboards, bigger gas tank. Overall, it looks like tougher construction, except for all the open space up front. I hate open space under the front of a quad, thus the Grizzly.

Good grief man, I don't know. Its a 2wd, and I don't think it would bring much. The plastic is dry rotted and not shiny at all due to the years that it sat out in the weather. It could also use some tires and some brake work. Other than that, it runs like a gem. The engine starts in winter time easier than any other I have owned (2 old yamahas and the 99 AC 500).

If we were to sell it, I would probably ask about $1800 for it, and no less than $1500. I have seen older 250's for more money, but I don't think that any quad that old is worth that. Not unless it has been garaged its entire life, and not ridden much.

Are you looking for a used one? You can normally find 300 4x4's around here from time to time that are maybe 3-4 years old for like $3800-$4000. If its in good condition, then that would be an ok price. Before the Rancher, brand new they ran $5200 and could be bought for $4800- 4900 from time to time during sales. I think that if I were to buy a used quad, the 300 4x4 honda would be the one I would get. Someone would have really had to have abused it to mess it up. That is one of the most reliable engines ever made. We have probably changed the oil in ours maybe 3 times in 11 years (not exactly textbook maintanence), and it runs absolutely perfect.
