What tires do you recommend?
I put on 26x10-12 and 26-12-12. I haven't had them on long enough to determine wear, but they feel like the same rubber as the Gators (which are known to wear very well).
On really hard pack (like pavement), they are a little rough (any tire that has the vanes in them will be), but not too bad. I found them to amazing on ice (they were sticking to that glossy, smooth wet stuff -- when it's melting). I couldn't walk on it, but the devils would stick!. On gravel they were impressive too.
I did some searching, and I picked the Devils over the Gators for their loose trail handling. They are supposed to handle better in the loose stuff.

I replaced oem's with 25" Dirt Devil AT's after 2000 miles I am quite impressed with durability on my Grizzly 660. Havn't worn down to the second tread level yet. These tires handle awesome on dirt roads and have eliminated the high speed twitchiness from the oem tires (soft sidewall I'd bet) very flat tread pattern good grip. I occasionally run at 60mph+ with excellent stability. As far as traction in snow mud etc. they are far behind the 27" 589s I use in the snow for traction The XT's might be better though. Hope this helps.

The XT's do make a big difference over the AT's for snow traction (the lugs are almost twice as deep!).
I found it hard trying to get her stuck with the devils in the snow (not that I couldn't, but hard!).
The vanes are angled more than 589's or gators, so they lose some paddle effect (which impacts the mud/snow/loose sand performance, but you pick up laterial stability for cornering and driving on loose stuff).
And..... the tread pattern looks amazing! Looks mean parked.
