Default Popping noise

I have an '03 400i 5 speed with 460 miles. I am hearing a popping noise coming from my rear differential area. Sounds like a CV joint problem, but I checked the CV joint closest to the sound and all is well. The bike still rides good, but when I put it in reverse and backup, then let off the gas it pops. Any ideas?

Been through deep water, but that was in the first week I had it. It is a year old now. Curious...what was the problem with your CV?

I emailed an Arctic Cat Dealer and here is their response: "It sound like you could have a outer brg in the hub making your noise." What is a brg?

i think they mean bearing, lift the wheel, one the side you think the sound is coming from, off the ground with a jack. and see if the wheel is real loose

With the wheels off the ground roll them over. A bearing just starting to go bad will be noisy but will not necessarily be loose, just rough. See if one side is noisier than other, feels rougher than the other.
