be careful

Hey,
Ive left a few posts here over the past 6 months, Im almost reqady to buy a quad. Listen: Im also a MD in alabama. A 16 year old just came in through the trauma room. He was riding his quad and ran into a power line post anchor cable. It hit him in the chest and ran up and caught his jaw. It completely lifted his skul off of his top spinal bone in his neck. Everyone thought he was braindead until he opened his eyes. He still may not make it, and his life will never be the same.
Please pray for the kid and his family.
Please be careful out there, I dont want to see any of you here in the ER.
Ill keep you updated on how how he does.

Yesterday one of my riding partners and I went out for a 26 mile ride. He didn't take his helmet. Thank God nothing came of it. Why? Why did he ride without a helmet? I always wear mine. Be safe, be careful, and always wear your safety gear, your loved ones are counting on it!
