Howdy,

I just purchased a 1996 arctic cat ext 580 efi with 1958 miles. When we were at the owner's house, he got it started, but the battery wouldn't keep the motor running. He put it on a battery charger for about 15 minutes, again it started but wouldn't hold the motor running. The owner said that the battery was on its last end, as it hadn't been run since before christmas. Because of the shape and price we bought the sled.

We brought it home and put it on our charger. We tried to start it, but we couldn't even get the motor to prime before trying to pull start it. Is the battery my only problem here, or is there something deeper?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
