Gona buy a second quad pretty soon. Just wondering how many miles per tank you guys get with the smallbore machines.

Ya, how do you guys like the 300 & 250??? I would like to get the 250 sometime in the future and want to hear how people who own one like it.

I have a 2001 AC250 2X4 and I run with a group of guys who have to have all those big bores. The Polaris 700 who runs with us will be dry twice before I am. The 400 and 500's will do better, maybe 1 3/4 to 1 1/2 tanks to my one. I am without a speedo but the last time we went, the Polaris clock 42 miles and I used just about a gallon and a half and a lot of that run was in 2nd and 3rd gear. Overall I never worry about gas. Hunting this last fall on a long day of moving from one place to another, the 700 was on reserve to get in that night and I had used less than 2 gallons. BTW I never seem to have a problem staying up with the bigger rigs, except when there is a short acceleration run or a long flat road where top ends counts. But gee, they always stop and wait for me or I catch up as soon as we get into rough terrain or curves.

thanks for the reply, Im not all to worried about the power of the machine. I hear it has great power for its size, and in super low you can drag some pretty heavy stuff. And if it cant do it, my 500 will. Im either gona get a 250 4x4 or a 300, depends on the difference in price when I go to buy. If its only 500 difference Ill get the 300. Otherwise I'll get the 250 and order a 4x4 shift kit, and have the dealer put a speedo on before i pick it up
