Started out as a T-cat 900....went to a 1000cc counter-balanced triple. Same bottom end as a ZRT 800 triple. I believe the last year for them was 2001. Very fast and easy to bump the horses up over 200. Biggest problem was the weight. Heavy sled. I ride mountains so the T-cat was always a heavy pig to be digging out all day. The lake racer, short track guys love em.

Machzmissle, I guess I should have been more precise in how I said that, i ment it will beat the Tcat, not necessarily in a drag race I am talking about climbing, and as for being the dumbest thing you have heard in a while, take a look at what you said, how can you say that the 1000 doo will kill the 900 when the doo was just released and there is probably not even one out on the snow yet?? I am not trying to start any kind of brand bashing here but think before you speak.

look at any big drag races results...the stock F5s in the 1000ft drag are averaging 112mph...i had mine full on for over a mile and the digital speedometer said 117...i spose it could be off but when i was doing radar runs i was fairly close everytime to what the gun said, maybe off by a mph or two, but all i'm sayin is i saw 117 in the speedometer, i'm not saying i'm 100% sure it was right

1320 feet
F6-92.04mph in 12.89 sec
F7-92.74mph in 12.46 sec
ZR 900-93.68 in 12.37 sec
If the F5 was faster I'm pretty sure it would be in the drag race, but they didn't bother testing the 500 class. These are REAL world results and I did this to give people that might not know better an idea of what a sled really does.
By the way, these are very good numbers, as the Cats cleaned house for this comparison, winning every race in every class. That was Box stock and Dealer Prepped.
As far as the older Thundercat goes, it might not win a 1/4 mile drag against these new bad boys, but if your looking for the other side of a lake longer than 1/2 a mile or so,,,and you have the ***** to hold that Big 'ol tripple opened up,,,if anyone stays close enough to you that they can argue about who is fastest,,,you're both crazy!!!!
