Default Restictive Cat 650 Snorkel

I am going to do the increase intake of the Stock Cat 650 1 5/8" Snorkel to the home made 2" system. I know some of U have already done this quick fix for getting in more air & getting more HP= more mid-range & top end power. On my P650s I had the DG Snorkel, a Twin-Air filter & was using jets of 132F/138R for the elevations that I ride at, the results were well worth the snorkel mod.
Being that I will be increasing the air intake by 21% over stock on the Cat, should I just stay at 138 jets for both carbs or jet the same as I was with my Prairie 650s?

I'd start with the stock Prairie sizes. That seemed to work good for me.

bfb650BEARCAT is right, the Kawasaki 650 needs more air. The engineers at Kawasaki admitted it themselfs. More clean air will be good and it will help!

NO, The DG P650/700s snorkels will not work.
I will use a 2" PVC elbow attached to the air-cleaner inlet, I then will make another connection to route the mod snorkel to recieve the incoming air from outside of the air-cleaner area. You want to bring in cold air (outside air) you do not want to suck in warm/hot air from the engine area. Cold air makes HP. TTTM has some pics on the Mod for the home made snorkel for the Cat 650 on HighLifters site, look for the 650 intake snorkel post.
