Will the Dyno Jet Kit for the Suzuki Ozark 250 work on the AC 250? The engines are suppose to be the same, are the carbs?

you need to locate a oem parts finder website for the two bikes and comapre the carbs. if they are made the same yes, it will work. dyno kits are cheap, just oder one from Highlifter

CrazyKat; Well after some searching and then to confirm it, I call the dealer and the carbs are different(they handle both Suzuki and Cats). The Suzuki runs a Mikuni BS29, while the Cat has a Mikuni BST31. So no Dyno Jet Kit for my Cat. Guess I will start experimenting with needle settings first.

CraztKat; The bike works very well for me as I am over 50 and broke way to many thing over the years, including hitting a deer on my bike(motorcycle) in '94. Need to be able to get around the woods so I don't have to walk so much as the broken pieces give me grief. When we run logging road out here I have the smallest engine but have almost no trouble staying up with the big boys. However the bike has a mid range stumble on steep grades in 3rd and above gears with the throttle held wide open. If you back of just a bit the machine accelerates just fine but not as fast as it could. Besides it's not right and I like my toys to work properly. A little bit of power boost would not be looked down on either, but is not my prime desire. I don't mud run but we have to cross creeks once in a while, but usually never more than about 18" deep. Am planning on move the 24X9X12's to the front and putting some 25X10X12's on the rear for 1/2" more ground clearance and am aware the this will hurt preformance a bit, so the extra power would be nice. The snow get deep some times so every little bit of heigth helps. So far have gone everywhere the others have on one hell of a lot less gas and they all run 400's up to a couple of 700's.

Ok i can go into great detail on this, but it would take alot of typing. What you need to do is on your search engine for whatever web browser you are using, Do a search for tex mudders site. Type it in just like that or texmudderssite. Once you find it,look at the menu tabs at the top. it explains in great detail with pictures on the car sytem. It will give you an idea on what you need to do.

good luck and if you have any questions send me a message.

Thanks for the info guys. Having been a certified marine mechanic for many years I had a pretty good idea of what to do, just needed some instruction to follow on this type of carbs. Never dealt with diaphragm carbs before.

Did a shifter mod today, so while at it I pulled the top off the carb and move the E-ring up one notch to the second from the top notch to lean it out. Made it twice as bad. Then moved the E-ring to the fourth notch counting from the top and it doesn't stumble anymore, but seems to be a little more sluggish through out the RPM range. I guess I can live with it until I get a carb kit and check the float setting and make sure that the carb is clean inside. Does anyone have a recommendation for a fuel filter? I like fuel filters, I favor water-fuel seperator best. However not sure thats a good idea on a gravity feed system.
